Textiles Class

The Alexander Public School Textiles 1 class participated in the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge. This project started October 5th, when the students were required to make 3 pillowcases each as a FACS project. The students chose to donate the pillowcases to The McKenzie County Social Services Foster Children program. While they participated in this project, the students learned to measure, iron, and use a sewing machine, along with the basics of color theory. The students were glad they could give back to the community. “ I really enjoyed this project because we are able to help young children in need. They come to foster care with almost nothing. I am glad that I am able to give them something.” -Christina Cote
