Welcome back, Comets!
As we bid farewell to April and welcome the warmer days of spring, our school is buzzing with energy, excitement, and achievement. The end of the school year is in sight, but the action is far from over!
First and foremost, a huge round of applause goes out to Ty Womelsdorf and Vivian Lundeen for their phenomenal performances at State Speech last Saturday. These two represented our school with pride and skill! Vivian placed 8th in EPR (Extemporaneous Programmed Reading), and Ty wowed the judges with an incredible 3rd place finish in Extemporaneous Speaking. What an outstanding way to wrap up the season—congratulations to both of you for your hard work and dedication!
This week also marked an important academic milestone for our students across all grade levels as they tackled State Testing. From our youngest learners in elementary to our high school scholars, everyone gave their best effort. These tests are a reflection of a year filled with growth, perseverance, and commitment to learning, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort shown in every classroom. Great job, Comets!
Get ready to tap your toes and enjoy some incredible music, because the annual Spring Concert is just around the corner! Our talented student musicians and singers have been working hard to prepare a wonderful evening of entertainment. It’s a great chance to come together and celebrate the artistic side of our school community. Don’t miss it!
We’re also thrilled to announce the return of the Missoula Children’s Theatre! This year’s production is the classic tale of Pinocchio, and our student cast has been rehearsing with great enthusiasm. Join us for the performance on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. It’s sure to be a delightful show full of imagination, talent, and fun for the whole family.
And last but definitely not least, let’s send our best wishes and all the positive vibes to the Mock Trial Team, who are heading to Nationals in Arizona next week! This is a huge honor and a testament to their skill, teamwork, and hard work throughout the year. They’ll be competing against the top teams from across the country, and we know they’ll make us proud.
Stay tuned for more exciting events and updates as we head into May. Let’s finish the year strong—together!
Go Comets!
