⏰ Early Release – Monday, March 9
Due to the number of staff and students attending the Regional Boys Basketball Tournament in New Town, Alexander Public School will have an early dismissal at 2:45 PM on Monday, March 9.
Buses will run at 2:45 PM to take students home.
If this early dismissal causes an inconvenience for your family, please contact the school office.

Approximately 4:30 PM in New Town
The game will also be available to watch online at PSPNetwork.com for a small fee.
🚌 Pep Bus – Grades 6–12
Students in grades 6–12 may sign up for the pep bus.
Sign up at the school office by 11:00 AM
Bus departs at 2:45 PM
The bus returns shortly after the game
Students are responsible for admission and snacks

🕒 Daylight Savings Time
This year marks 60 years since the Uniform Time Act of 1966, which standardized Daylight Saving Time in the United States.
The idea was originally suggested by Benjamin Franklin to make better use of daylight, but was not widely implemented until World War I.
Did you know Arizona and Hawaii do not observe Daylight Saving Time?

🎤 Speech Team Results
Congratulations to our Alexander Speech Team members who competed at the Rugby Speech Meet this past weekend.

🌾 Ag Department Industry Tour – Grades 9–12
Mrs. Denowh has scheduled an industry tour with RTC in Watford City for high school students.
Students will learn about:
Agricultural cooperatives
Career opportunities in agriculture
📅 Wednesday, March 11
Open to students in grades 9–12
Only 14 eligible students may attend
Students must have no missing assignments and no failing grades
Interested students should sign up at the office soon.
🩺 Medical Detectives Program Donation
McKenzie Health has generously donated blood pressure monitoring devices and stethoscopes to Alexander Public Schools.
These will be used in the Middle School PLTW Medical Detectives Program.
👩⚕️ Nurse Krista Heen will work with Ms. Gowing’s Medical Detectives class to teach students how to check blood pressure “the old-fashioned way.”
This hands-on learning opportunity helps students explore potential careers in the medical field.

🏀 Elementary Basketball Champions
Congratulations to the Alexander 3rd & 4th Grade Boys Basketball Team for their 1st Place finish in the 4th Grade Division Tournament in Watford City this past weekend!
The boys played hard, showed great teamwork, and represented Alexander well.
Great job, Comets!

Elementary boys and girls basketball teams will compete at the Powers Lake Jamboree.
Game times TBD.

If your prom date is from another school, approval is required.

Friday Intervention and High Five will take place on March 13.
