Students will vote on the following question:

Should civics education be required for graduation?

🔧 High School Industry Tour – RTC

Earlier this week, Alexander students participated in an Industry Tour at RTC in Watford City.

Students learned about:

• Telecommunications careers

• Fiber optic technology

• Different departments within RTC

• Educational pathways for various jobs in the industry

Students also had the opportunity to see the equipment used to install and repair fiber optic cable.

Thank you to RTC for providing an excellent learning experience for our students!

Another industry tour is being planned for the 4th quarter to explore another local business.

📢 Attendance Reminder

Regular attendance is essential for student success.

• Students are required by law to attend school regularly when not ill.
• A written or verbal explanation from a parent/guardian is required after any absence or tardy.
• If you plan to take your child out of school for an extended period of time, notify the classroom teacher & front office ahead of time so assignments can be provided.
• Medical absences with documentation from a licensed physician DO NOT count toward the attendance total.
• Students are allowed 16 days of absence per school year (excused or unexcused).
• Students exceeding this amount may be required to attend Friday Intervention (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) or summer school at the principal’s discretion.

There will be NO SCHOOL and NO High 5 / Friday Intervention.

Junior High (Grades 6-8) Spring Fling

Location: Alexander School

Time: 7:00 - 9:30 pm

$5 per person, purchase tickets in the office.

The Alexander School Board will host an Open House so the community can view the new school addition.

• Student Council will provide guided tours
• APS PTO / Booster Club will provide hospitality
• Cookies and coffee will be served
