Today we used an orange code to give privacy in dealing with a situation.
The travel advisory has lifted. Buses will be leaving as soon as possible. School will start in one hour and bus students will be sent to class as soon as they get here. Lunch will be served alternative times. Use your judgement in traveling to school.
For clarification school is not starting and buses are not running until the No Travel Advisory is lifted. We will send a message indicating a start time when it is lifted.
Good morning Alexander families. Due to the current no travel advisory for McKenzie County because of icy road conditions we will be starting school 2 hours late. Buses will run 2 hours late as well. Please take your time while traveling to school this morning.
Today is the day for auditions for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of The Secret Garden. All students in grades K-6 are invited to audition tonight. Auditions will begin at 4:00 p.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. If your child did not return their permission form to audition but would like to participate, please contact the school as soon as possible.
Mandatory Boys Basketball Player/Parent Meeting for grades 7-12 will be on Thursday, November 29th at 6:30pm.
Comets Boy's Basketball grades 7-12 starts tomorrow with the first practice from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. We apologize for the late notice.

The snow continues to fall, the temperatures are cooling and the wind is picking up. All of these are factors when considering the safety of our students, therefore I am closing the school day at 12:30pm. Buses will run at 12:30 today. Hours missed will be made up at a later date. Please call the school if you have any questions. All extra-curricular activities are canceled for the remainder of the day.
Turkey Bingo Tonight, November 15th at 6pm. Please bring 2 canned food items per Bingo card or 10 per family if possible. All food items will be used to help families in need within our Alexander Comet Family. Prizes include turkeys, pies, board games, puzzles and other fun items! Also a reminder that tomorrow, November 16th is a regular school day.

Pizza will be provided tonight for parents and players at the parent meeting for girls' basketball at the Williston Trinity Christian School in Williston, ND at 5:30 pm. The bus for grades 7-12 will leave Alexander School at 3:00pm for girls' basketball practice from 4:00-5:30pm.
Alexander Girl's basketball begins this Monday on November 12th for grades 7-12. The bus will leave Alexander School at 3:00pm, practice will be from 4:00 to 5:30 with a parent meeting to follow at 5:30pm. Alexander Girl's basketball co-ops with Williston Trinity Christian. Our first practice and parent meeting will be in Williston at the Trinity Christian School. Go Comets!

Open gym for Jr High and HS boys basketball players will be held every Tuesday and Thursday night at 6 pm in the new gym until practice starts on November 26th.
Alexander Sophomore Class is having a Fruit Fundraiser. There are mixed boxes, apples, oranges, and pears. The orders are due November 13th. The fruit will be delivered the week of November 26th. Please contact the office if you are interested.

Reminder that flu shots will be offered to Alexander students and staff tomorrow, November 6th in the morning. If you would like your student to receive a flu shot please call the front office and we will send forms home.
