Any athletes participating in spring sports at Williston Schools, must return their Activity Registration Packets to the APS office by March 4th. Forms can be found on our school website or in the office. Sports Physicals are required by the first day of practice.
Pennies for Patients fundraiser will end next Thursday, March 5th and the winning class will be announced after spring break. This fundraiser provides money for youth cancer patients in our region. Students can bring their change to the blue boxes placed in their classrooms.
After prom party meeting is tomorrow night, 02/26/2020, at 5:30pm at the school. All freshman parents are invited to attend and help put on this great event for our kids.
Junior students will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 3rd at school. The state of North Dakota allows every junior to take the ACT for free.
2020 Boys Basketball District 15 Tournament- February 28th, 29th and March 2nd at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City. Our boys first game is on February 28th at 3pm vs New Town.
Please join us tonight for our last home Boys Basketball games starting at 5:30 in the new gym. Parents' Night will be celebrated between games. We will also be showcasing our winning FTC Robotics Team during half time. Concessions will include fresh homemade options with baked goods as well!
The basketball game scheduled for tomorrow, February 21st, will be the last home game for the boys. It is also Parents Night. The JH boys play at 5:30 against District 8 with the Varsity boys following playing against Tioga. Come out and support our Comets at their last home game!!
Tomorrow, Wednesday February 19th, is the annual spelling bee in Alexander. Just a reminder to all parents that grade PK, K and 7-12 are the ONLY grades that have school. Grades 1-6 will only come if they are in the spelling bee. All other students have the day off. If your child is in the spelling bee and you want them to ride the bus please contact your bus driver tonight. Buses will run at normal school times.

Just a reminder there is no High 5 League or Intervention this week, Friday February 14th, per the schedule and letter sent out at the beginning of the school year. The following Friday, February 21st is a scheduled school day.
It's tournament week! The girls' basketball team is heading to Parshall to play in the District 15 Tournament. There will be a pep bus on Saturday. If your student is interested in riding the pep bus to Saturday's game, there will be a sign up in the office. Interested students must sign up by Thursday at noon.
Youth Wrestling mix and match will be tomorrow, February 11th at 6:30pm in the old gym.
Starting tomorrow, February 11th, students in grades 7-12 will not be allowed to carry backpacks or school bags throughout the building during the day. Students will be given a chromebook case and may rent a lock for their lockers for $3. If students use a personal lock, the office needs to have the combination. This is an effort based on student safety.
Father Daughter Dance has been moved to Sunday, February 16th from 3pm-5pm in the old gym.Tickets are still available for purchase in the office, $5. The date was changed due to conflict with Girls Basketball District Tournament.
APS is looking for a parent or community volunteer to work with elementary students in grades 1-4 for basketball. We are planning for the session to run from mid-March - end of April. Date & times TBD by volunteers. Please contact the school if interested.
