The Speech team has been busy! On March 16 the went to Watford City to compete where Emmalee Sims medaled in the radio category with 8th place. The next day they competed at Williston Trinity Christian in Williston the results are as follows: Tayla Ybarra & Brieanna Yancey - 2nd in Humorous Duo -- STATE QUALIFIED!!!! Tayla Ybarra - 2nd in Humorous Interp Breanna Schooley - 5th in Dramatic Interp Santos Riggs - 7th in Dramatic Interp Emmalee Sims - 7th in Radio Mercedes Dybas & Brieanna Yancey - 3rd in Serious Duo Congrats to all competitors and good luck in your upcoming speech meets.

Earlier today the school went into a lockdown to afford privacy in a situation; there was no threat at any time to students. We apologize this was not released sooner

There will be a meeting this evening at 6:30 pm in the school library regarding the annual Easter egg hunt. The hunt will be in the Alexander City Park on March 31st. Anyone who would like to help with the event or fundraising is welcome to come.

There has been a change to the school lunch menu for tomorrow. Tomorrow's lunch will be Beef Burrito or Pepperjack Enchiladas, Rice and apple churro

The Prom Gown Swap & Sale event will be on Friday March 9th in the old gym of the school from 6-8 pm. Bring in your gently used gowns for sale, lending, or swap and find a gown that's new to you! All sales are final - cash only

High school Music Festival Recital is moved to Friday, March 9th at 2:15pm. Everyone is welcome to come and watch!

Alexander Public School will NOT have school tomorrow, March 6th, due to weather.

Alexander School will NOT have school today. School is canceled for Monday, March 5th.

Due to the weather, Alexander School is currently under a late start status for tomorrow, Monday, March 4th. School will begin at 10:00 a.m. if the road conditions allow for safe travel.

5th and 6th grade girls basketball practice starts Monday, March 5th till 5pm. Parent and Player Meeting after the first day of practice.

4th, 5th, 6th grade boys basketball will begin practice on Monday, March 5th. Practice will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4pm-5:30pm. Parent meeting will follow after the first day of practice.

We are not able to find a substitute driver for Todd's route bus 105 this Thursday or Friday. Please contact the school if you are unable to transport your student to and from school those days.

The Alexander FFA is sponsoring a student dance on Saturday, February 24th. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and will be locked at 8:00 p.m. Students will not be allowed in after 8 p.m., if a student leaves prior to 8 p.m. they will not be allowed to return. The dance will conclude at 10:30 p.m. Any questions can be directed to Miss Johnson.

Just a reminder: Wednesday Feb. 21st is the McKenzie County Spelling Bee at Alexander Public School. Only students who have qualified for the spelling bee from grades 1-6 need to come to school. All other students grade 1-6 Do NOT have school. Preschool, kindergarten and grades 7-12 WILL have a regular day.

Tomorrow, February 16th, the Alexander High School will be traveling to Williston for an excursion. Please call the office if you have any questions. Thank You!

The Freshman parent's meeting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for Tuesday February 20th at 6:00 pm.

Due to weather the junior high boys basketball game in Williston has been canceled. There will also be no JH practice tonight.

The high school choir will be participating in Music Festival on Monday, March 12th at the Williston State College. A schedule will be handed out as soon as Mrs. Heck is given one. All family & friends are invited. There will also be a festival recital on Monday, March 5th at 2:15 in the AHS music room.
