High school Music Festival Recital is moved to Friday, March 9th at 2:15pm. Everyone is welcome to come and watch!

Due to the weather, Alexander School is currently under a late start status for tomorrow, Monday, March 4th. School will begin at 10:00 a.m. if the road conditions allow for safe travel.
5th and 6th grade girls basketball practice starts Monday, March 5th till 5pm. Parent and Player Meeting after the first day of practice.
4th, 5th, 6th grade boys basketball will begin practice on Monday, March 5th. Practice will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4pm-5:30pm. Parent meeting will follow after the first day of practice.
We are not able to find a substitute driver for Todd's route bus 105 this Thursday or Friday. Please contact the school if you are unable to transport your student to and from school those days.
The Alexander FFA is sponsoring a student dance on Saturday, February 24th. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and will be locked at 8:00 p.m. Students will not be allowed in after 8 p.m., if a student leaves prior to 8 p.m. they will not be allowed to return. The dance will conclude at 10:30 p.m. Any questions can be directed to Miss Johnson.
Just a reminder: Wednesday Feb. 21st is the McKenzie County Spelling Bee at Alexander Public School. Only students who have qualified for the spelling bee from grades 1-6 need to come to school. All other students grade 1-6 Do NOT have school. Preschool, kindergarten and grades 7-12 WILL have a regular day.

The Freshman parent's meeting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for Tuesday February 20th at 6:00 pm.
Due to weather the junior high boys basketball game in Williston has been canceled. There will also be no JH practice tonight.
The high school choir will be participating in Music Festival on Monday, March 12th at the Williston State College. A schedule will be handed out as soon as Mrs. Heck is given one. All family & friends are invited. There will also be a festival recital on Monday, March 5th at 2:15 in the AHS music room.
All freshman parents are being asked to attend the meeting on Feb. 15th at 6 pm in the school. They will be discussing plans for the After Prom party.
Valentine’s Family Dance will be Sunday, February 11th from 4pm-6pm. Tickets are $5 per family and can be purchased in the office.
After our first public meeting concerning a 4 day school week, I was asked to share my power point on the website. I added the link today. The power point has additional information that I added after the first meeting.
Alexander School had a lock down today for approximately 20 minutes. There was no threat but rather a situation that warranted privacy. All staff and students were aware there was no threat. Please contact Ms. Bieber with any questions.
