Often times, we hear students say, “I can’t, it’s too hard,” and we as teachers have to find a way to entice students to embrace the struggle. Challenges are what make us grow. When we are challenged, we have to dig deep within ourselves to find the tools to solve the issue at hand or dig deep to persevere against the challenge. We cannot expect our students to grow unless they embrace challenges and step out of their comfort zone to grow from them. Perseverance is a great character trait to develop in order to become a successful adult.
