Reminder: The Comet Acceleration Program will begin Wednesday, June 19th at 6:00am. The program will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week for 6 weeks from 6:00 a.m to 7:00 a.m. The program will work on strength and stability with a focus on speed, power and balance and will benefit everyone. The cost is $50.00 for the entire summer. Please bring proper gym shoes. The program will be in the Comets' Fitness Center.
Registration that was scheduled for June 17th through June 19th has been postponed. A notification will be sent out as soon as a new date has been scheduled.
Alexander Public School is holding an early registration for families who attended Alexander during the 2018 -2019 school year. Registration times will be from 9 am - 2 pm on Monday June 17th through Wednesday June 19th. Due to a continual increase of enrollment, this early registration allows us to be prepared at the beginning of the school year. If you can't make it please call the school. There will be another registration the end of July for new families.
There is a large amount of clothing that has been left behind. If your child is missing any clothing, you are welcome to check our lost and found. All lost and found will be donated in one week.
There will be a bake sale tomorrow put on by the FTC Team at lunch time. They are raising funds for their trip to Washington, DC.
It's not too late to participate in the Dodge Ball Tournament tomorrow at Alexander Public School! Team sign ups start at 10:30 a.m. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball! This is a fun way to support our FTC Robotics Team. See you in the morning!
FTC Dodge Ball Tournament forms are due tomorrow, May 17th, in the office by noon. There will also be a Bake Sale tomorrow during lunch and after school.
Reminder: PK-12 grade Spring Concert is tomorrow in the new gym starting at 6:30pm. Students need to be in their classrooms by 6:15pm. There will be a Showcase, in the old gym, of all the students projects thru out the year before and after the concert!
There is NO elementary high 5 League or intervention this Friday, May 10th. High School students will be notified if they have to attend.
Track practice is canceled in Williston due to a violent incident in Williston. Williston Police are advising Williston residents to shelter in place and all of the Williston Schools are currently in lock down. Please be advised.
On Friday, May 3rd, Alexander School will be hosting the elementary Math Meet. With that, there will be NO High 5 League nor will there be Friday Intervention Time. High school students who need to make up absences will be granted time for their efforts at the Math Meet.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-9. We like to show our appreciation to teacher's and staff with treats and snacks in the teacher's lounge Monday through Thursday. Please contact the front office if you are interested in bringing a treat. Thank you.
5th & 6th grade boys basketball game tonight has been moved up to 4:30pm. Come cheer on our boys at their last home game.
Students participating in the math meet this Friday, May 3rd, need to be at the school by 11am. Parent and student volunteer please be there by 10am. Thank you, Ms. Crusch.

The open gym for girls basketball grades 6 - 12 has been CANCELLED for this afternoon, April 28th.
There will be a girls basketball open gym grades 6 - 12 on Sunday April 28th from 2 - 4 pm.
