Distance Learning Guidelines

Junior High football practice for today and Thursday will be held until 5:00 pm.

Tackle football practice for grades 4-6 will only be until 5:00 pm until further notice.

There will be NO 3rd & 4th grade flag football practice tonight, Sept 28th.

ATTENTION VOLLEYBALL PARENTS AND FANS: The volleyball games scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 29th in Burke County have been cancelled. ATTENTION 6th GRADE PARENTS: The 6th grade jamboree scheduled for Saturday Oct 3rd has been cancelled.

There will be NO Hi-5 or Lego League this week, Oct 2nd. The City of Alexander will be without water from 10 am - 2 pm for repairs.

Comet families, as many of you know we have had a few individuals test positive for Covid-19 and several quarantine due to close contact. All families have been contacted; therefore if you did not receive a phone call your child is not quarantined. Also, this will not move us to a yellow designation for the district. Students who are not in school under these circumstances are required to participate via distance learning and should be in contact with their teacher(s). Athletic teams will be contacted with regards to game and/or practice cancelations or postponements. As we navigate this if you have any questions feel free to contact us at school.

There is NO Varsity football game tonight, Sept 25th. Varsity football practice will resume on Oct 5th at 4:00 pm.

Flag football practice has been cancelled for the 1st and 2nd graders today, Sept 24th. All students will be going home after school as they normally do when there isn't practice.

Attention JH Football: Center has contacted us and due to the lack of numbers; no JH Football game in Center tomorrow, Sept 25th.

Good morning! ALL flag football games have been cancelled for the weekend. 3rd and 4th grade flag football practice has been cancelled for tonight. 3rd and 4th grade only, 1st and 2nd will still have practice. Please contact the school with any questions.

Alexander Comet Family, I want to make sure to clear up any misinformation. Alexander Public School is NOT moving to the Yellow Hybrid Plan. Though we encourage masks, we are NOT requiring masks! We are NOT moving to the hybrid plan. McKenzie County has moved to yellow, Alexander School has not. Everything tomorrow will continue as it was today! Per Governor Burgum's announcement earlier today, McKenzie County has moved to yellow. Alexander Public School has experienced minimal impact from close contact or positive cases therefore, the APS School Board will not be proceeding to the yellow hybrid school model. We will continue with regular school practices. Please contact Leslie Bieber with any questions or concerns.

Fans attending the Elementary Triangular in Trenton on Saturday, Sept.19th: duet to "yellow" status: 1. Masks will be REQUIRED for fans and social distancing expected. 2. There will be a designated seating area for Alexander fans. 3. No concessions will be served. However, you are encouraged to bring your own snacks/drinks if you choose to do so. 4. Admissions is $5. Please bring EXACT change. GO COMETS!

Due to current guidelines, we cannot allow students to ride a different bus than they normally ride, therefore students cannot ride home with friends on different busses. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, please contact the office. Thank you.
