When attending an activity at Alexander Public School we ask that you following the guidelines as listed. We hope to see you at our extracurricular events.

Flag Football Parents - There is a practice time change for Grades 1-2 flag football, which is from after school to 5:00 pm. Grades 3-4 practice will still be until 5:30 pm. It is asked that you please be prompt when picking up the kids from practice to eliminate any issues that may arise afterwards. Reminder, flag football is not associated with the school and our coaches are volunteers. Please make arrangements if pick up time is an issue. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Allard at the school.

The NFHS link for the Alexander/Midway-Minto game is not working. The JH game is being live streamed on the Alexander Football facebook page.

Seeking CTE Advisory Committee Members- The Alexander Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs (Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, Technology and Engineering, and Career Development) are seeking community members to help us find ways to continue improving our CTE classes. We are looking for potential members who can commit to at least two meetings a year (one in the fall and one in the spring) and are willing to share their ideas and professional expertise with our committee. If you are interested in helping further our CTE programs please contact the office so we can set up a meeting time that works for all members in October

Friendly safety reminder to all parents, staff and students who drive. Please wear your seat belts and remember to take the time to scrape the frost off your windows before you hit the road. It was noted by law enforcement that these safety measures are not being used appropriately at drop off and pick up at school.

The school is in need of a wheelchair for a student starting the week of Sept. 14th for approximately one month. If you are able to help us out, please contact the front office.

Beginning September 04, 2020, breakfast and lunch is FREE to all Alexander Public School Students. The USDA has granted a waiver extension for free meals until December 31st, 2020. This means ALL students in Alexander Public School will receive free breakfasts and lunches until December 31st, 2020, regardless of their free/reduced status. The free meals include students in school, students on a hybrid schedule, and Distance Learning Students. Distance Learning Students are welcome to pick up their meals at the school. Please contact the front office to schedule your pickup. What you need to know: • You may continue to fill out free and reduced applications to ensure that your status will remain in January 2021. If you have already filled out an application and been considered reduced or denied, you will not be charged for meals until January 2021. • The following items are not included in the free meals: o Seconds will be charged at $.25. o Individual milk is $.25. • The free meal is intended to be a complete meal. Students wanting to purchase individual items, such as milk or an seconds must pay a la carte prices. • Any money on your student’s account will remain until charges begin again on January 1st, 2021. The girls volleyball game on Thursday Sept 3rd against WhiteShield is ONLY a varsity game. The game starts at 7 pm. The Volleyball games against Trenton on Sept 10th has been cancelled.

Comet Volleyball is happening tonight! The first home match of the year is against the Parshall Braves. The night starts with junior high at 5:00, junior varsity at 6:00 and varsity at 7:00. The THEME is USA; wear your red, white, and blue to celebrate our veterans! We will also be celebrating our senior players for their dedication to Comet Volleyball. *We will be practicing social distancing and have hand sanitizer available. We hope to see you there!
