Notice to all 9-12 grade football players/parents. A player has a mild case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. Please read the attached fact sheet and inform Coach Jacobson and Nurse Heen immediately if your son has symptoms. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Nurse Heen.

There will not be a Back to School Night this year but rather a Back to School Breakfast on August 16, 2023, from 7:30-8:30. Please join your students for a back-to-school breakfast of donuts, muffins, go-gurts, juice, milk, and water.

Alexander School Board Meeting is this Wednesday, August 09, 2023 at 7:00pm at the Alexander Public School. The agenda is available on the website.

All 7-12th grade football players are required to be at practice today, August 7, at 6 p.m. for concussion testing. ALL players need to be there regardless of what you were told in practice. If you have a smartphone or ipad, please bring it to practice fully charged, please download the following app prior to arriving for concussion testing. If you are unable to do so, we will have devices available. Alexander Public School will be offering a Friday enrichment program that we call the Hi-5 League for grades K-5. This is for students that will be attending school on Fridays when our regular classes will not be in session. Hi-5 League will begin on September 29th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Permission forms with be sent home with students during the first or second week of school.

On August 9th there will be a middle school orientation for all middle school students and parents at 6:00. This is an opportunity to learn what middle school is like and what the expectations are from the teachers.

First Lego League (FLL) will have their season opener meeting on Monday, August 7th from 5:00 - 6:45 pm at Alexander Public School. FLL is for students interested in creating, building, researching, and working with a team to compete in competitions. Students code Lego robots to solve missions by researching and creating solutions to a themed problem each year. Students in grades 4 - 8 are eligible to try out. Regular practice schedule will be sent out at a later time. We are just trying to see who is interested at this time.

The Alexander School's Citizen Building Committee Meeting scheduled for August 1st at 7:00 p.m. has been postponed. The meeting will be held in September with a date to be determined.
